Drama Ministry
The mission of the Drama
Ministry is to serve our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ through:
- Placing a "real world face" on sermon messages by
presenting Christian dramas to highlight the sermon topic.
- Assisting seekers to understand biblical concepts by depicting
familiar situations that people face daily.
- Meeting other church members with an interest in drama and thereby
building and strengthening our Christian relationships.
- Having fun!
Any members of SPC are
welcome to join the Drama Ministry at any time. There is no commitment
to regular meetings - we rehearse for each event as needed.
Sunday
Dramas
We do approximately two
short dramas per month during Sunday morning's first two services,
and rehearsals for these with our directing staff are scheduled
as needed. We would love to have more aspiring actors!
Stagelights
Stagelights offers
children an opportunity to put on a complete theatrical production,
including performing drama, song and dance, designing sets and props,
operating the audio-visual system, ushering and selling tickets.
Stagelights provides an exciting forum to develop and use God-given
gifts.
