Ernest Sallee
Pastor of Worship and Arts

Our Pastor of Music, Ernest Sallee, brings a wide range of musical
and leadership experience to the South Potomac Church. Prior to
joining SPC,
Ernest served as Minister of Music for 15 years at four churches
in Baltimore. As a trained vocalist and classical pianist, Ernest
has performed as soloist and accompanist for various churches, community
events, national and European musical tours. Having a heart for
evangelistic outreach,
Ernest founded a non-profit Christian music organization that served
the homeless and disadvantaged youths of Baltimore City from 1992
- 1998.
Ernest served 17 years as a civilian with the Department of the
Army. In April 2001, He accepted a position at Headquarters, Department
of the Army working at the Pentagon as a Staff Officer. Ernest is
grateful that God spared his life during the 9/11 attack on the
Pentagon.

In August 2002, Ernest and his family relocated from Baltimore
to Southern Maryland. Ernest's love for God and Christian music
ministry led him to resign from the Army and join the SPC team in
September 2004.
Ernest and his wife Tammy, a thriving business owner, reside in
the Hawksbury community of La Plata along with their sons Ernest,
Jr. and Matthew and daughter Tamira.
