About SPC

We are excited that you want to know more about South Potomac Church.  Our desire at SPC is for you to realize that Christianity is a relationship, not a religion.  Christianity is an experience of forgiveness and freedom, not of fear and frustration.

We may use up-to-date language, music, and drama to communicate God's Word for today's culture, but our message is as old as the Bible itself.  We embrace historic Christian teaching on all doctrines, emphasizing Jesus Christ's atoning death; salvation through faith as a work of Divine grace; and the authority of the uniquely God-inspired Bible.

What We Believe

We believe in God the creator and the Bible is His inspired word.  We believe Jesus Christ is Lord and He died on the cross for our sins, He was buried and on the third day he rose and ascended to the right hand of God the Father.
